Supercar Sunday – Hire Car Tour- A “Guided Adventure”
Our maiden voyage of our Supercar Sunday hire day. We’ve lined up 6 supercars including Lamborghini and Ferrari for 12 people to enjoy on the twisting roads through Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and southern Wales. 

When you consider a Ferrari F430 on a Sunday for 150 miles would cost over £1,000 and the Lamborghini Murcielago over £2,000, we hope you agree that's it's a fantastic opportunity at an incredible price. 

The Tour The whole essence of what we’re trying to achieve with this event is give our clients an opportunity to drive a number of supercars at a cost which compares favourably against say hiring just one supercar for a day.

It also gives clients the opportunity to experience the cars in a group touring scenario which as our regulars know is much more fun than just driving in the middle of nowhere by yourself. 

Anyone who knows us will appreciate our insistence that the route driven has to be good and being as the cars are located in Oxfordshire we’ve designed a 300 mile route through Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and into some of the best roads in southern Wales. 

Exclusive Guided Tour System

GPS - SAT NAV 
We don’t subscribe to the rather archaic system of “here’s some directions, see you at the hotel tonight”. To ensure you enjoy the ultimate in stress free touring all cars on this tour will be fitted with our premium GPS Satellite Navigation units.

Our detailed and pre driven routes are loaded onto the units, you just have to select which day you are on and let the system guide you while enjoying the open road at YOUR pace. Even the petrol stops are pre loaded! 

RADIOS
All customers on this tour will enjoy the use of powerful licensed two way radios – these units are 8 times more powerful than the usual high street walkie-talkies and provide a method for the group to communicate with each other during the day.

TRAVEL PACK
Each car has a travel pack which includes – itinerary - summery route for each day – suggested lunch stop – petrol stops – hotel and local information including emergency numbers. 

SUPPORT CAR
2 staff from Driving Adventures will be on this tour to provide support throughout the duration of the trip. 


The tour in more detail:

Day 1
Sat - Optional Evening Hotel 

For those who want to make their way up Saturday to enjoy a nice hotel in rural Oxfordshire prior to the drive on Sunday, we’ve reserved some rooms in the picture-postcard town of Burford, about 20 minutes from where the cars are kept.

Our chosen venue is a lovely character 3* hotel which we’ve booked on a B&B basis as there are many restaurants nearby should you choose to venture away from the hotel for your evening meal.

The hotel opitimizes “old England” with its gourmet cuisine, exposed beams, flagstones and crackling log fires create a homely and traditional feel.

Burford is a picturesque village located in northern Oxfordshire on the southern gateway to the Cotswolds. We chose this spot as we appreciate that some partners may travel here for the Saturday evening with one person going on the driving day and one staying near the hotel. For the latter, there’s much to explore in the village including many traditional shops, restaurants, cafes and tea rooms. There are also walks nearby such as that along the banks of the River Windrush.

Day 2
Sun - Drive through Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Southern Wales 
(Up to 300 miles) 

We’ll meet at the HQ of our car   hire provider where you’ll have a   quick briefing to get you   accustomed to the cars. Note –   All the paperwork and proof of   driving license etc would have   been sorted before you arrive.

We can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 cars for the event.

- Mercedes SLK 55 AMG

- Audi R8

- Lamborghini Murcielago

Our hire car partner has a large stock of cars so in the event of any of these cars not being available they will do their utmost to replace them with an equivalent model. 

How It All works
There will be 2 people in each car. The distance and time you spend in each car will be determined on how many bookings we have on the day. 

If we have 8 people book, that will utilise 4 cars but if we have 12 bookings, that will utilise all 6 cars (i.e. 2 people per car). 

Regardless of how many cars are utilised, the overall route mileage is 300 miles with 150 driven and 150 as a passenger. 

NOTE – You can purchase 2 places so you are in the car by yourself and therefore will drive all 300 miles.

The Route
We’ll start in Oxfordshire then slice through Gloucestershire and on to some of those wonderful roads found hidden in southern Wales. 

We have tried our best to ensure that each segment (i.e. each driver change) involves some quality driving as we appreciate you don’t want your turn to arrive in a Lamborghini and find you’re on a tedious bit of road. 

Lunch will be a pub feast which is included in the package price. 

We should arrive back at base in Oxfordshire around 6pm.
